For my entire aviation career I have worked under the proviso that you made the shift happen even if you were sick. It was my ethical rule set. I have prided myself on getting the job done well safely no matter the hurdles.
Today I question this approach. Should I be here. I have done well two sectors mission well achieved but would I be better served resting and shortening the time not well.

Life should always be celebrated and mourned. Today was both a celebration and a mourning of my friend Maria. She passed away after a long fight with Cancer some two years ago. Love you Maria you are missed every day. My life has been immensely enriched by having had you in it.
